How our Massage Course & Retreat Can aide with oxytocin delivery, whilst helping you to develop skills as a massage therapist
Oxytocin the ‘Love Hormone’
The loving and nurturing touch of Lomi Lomi massage actually also stimulates the release of Oxytocin.. known as the ‘Love hormone’. Oxytocin creates a deep state of connection, bonding & can aide in the relief of depression and anxiety.
When touched with care for extended periods of time the hypothalamus releases oxytocin into the blood stream, the rhythmic touch helps the oxytocin to cross the blood/ brain barrier and induce heightened sensations and states of love.
Oxytocin has also been scientifically found to be beneficial for heart health, reducing inflammation, blood pressure and stress response as well as protecting the heart from cardiovascular disease.
The release of oxytocin also stimulates the release of serotonin and dopamine.. both known as ‘feel good hormones’ whilst also reducing stress hormones. Brining us back into equilibrium and balance.
And it’s not just touch that improves the regulation of hormones and delivery of Oxytocin. Connection with nature, regulation of circadian rhythms, fun activities with like minded community, good wholesome food, gentle stress relieving exercise are all a part of our Massage Course & Retreat offerings that also help bolster happy hormones whilst reducing stress.
If a 20 second hug can activate oxytocin delivery and an hour massage can induce a deep sense of wellbeing… 3-5 days of full bush immersion on a massage course or retreat with us is going to do you wonders… personally and professionally.
In a world where so many feel disconnected, highly stressed and depressed Oxytocin really is that miracle drug that boosts our sense of bonding and connectivity…
Increasing healing, mental clarity, emotional stability and physiological benefits such as calming the nervous system & bolstering the immune system with loving touch.
“Oxytocin is a naturally released miracle in our physiological system.”
